2015 Round Up of Pumpkins, Festivals & Fall Family Fun


2015 Round UpFall is our favorite time of year around here, so this is likely only the first of a few guides to come regarding Fall Family Fun in the Cincinnati/NKY area! This round up covers  everything from Fall Festivals (Oktoberfest is around the corner!) to general area Fall Festivities and of course Pumpkin Patches.

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati – Downtown Cincinnati

September 18-20

America’s largest Oktoberfest and the World’s Largest Chicken Dance.

Kenton CountyFarm Harvest Tour – Kenton County

September 19; 9am – 5pm

Self-guided tour which will allow you to learn about regional farms, food and wines.

See link for specific details about participating farms and the family friendly activities each will be offering.


Heritage Village Museum Fall Harvest Festival – Sharonville, OH

September 19 & 20; Saturday 10am-5pm; Sunday 12pm-5pm

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children 5-11.  Children 4 and under and museum members are FREE.

Wagon rides, pumpkin painting, donut eating contests, hearth cooking, demonstrations, games, and more!


Lebanon Country Applefest – Warren County Fairgrounds

September 26; 10am – 7pm

FREE admission and FREE parking

Handmade crafts, yummy food and fun entertainment… and of course, apples.

While you are there, hit the Lebanon Railroad for a train ride.

Train departs from Lebanon Station at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm for a 1 hour round trip ride.

Special Festival Pricing $8 Adults, $5 Children 2-16, Infants 1 and under are FREE.


“Operation Pumpkin” Pumpkin & Art Festival – Downtown Hamilton, OH

October 2-4

Giant pumpkin weigh-off, live entertainment, “Little Miss Punkin” contest, pet parade, rides, food, and more!


Gorman Farms Sunflower Festival – Evendale, OH


October 3 & 4; 10am – 4pm

Sunflowers, pumpkins, hayrides, animals and other family fun.

Pricing and other details not yet released.


Harvest Moon Festival – Montgomery, OH

October 10, 5-8p

FREE!  Celebrate the harvest season with hayrides around the park, pony rides, crafts and face painting.  The fire department will be serving coneys and other concessions. Kids can explore a smokehouse and a firetruck.


Harvest Fest and Community Bonfire – Milford, OH

October 10, 6:30-8:30p

FREE!  Enjoy crafts, pumpkin decorating, hay ride, music, and much more!


Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival – College Hill, OH

October 10, 10a-4p

Local restaurants, food trucks, live entertainment with Dave Hawkins, Triple the Trouble, Marion Peraza-DeWebb School of Music, Michael Ronstadt and Serenity Fisher, and MouseTrap. Fall themed-games and crafts for children, Big Scarecrow Build, pony rides, farmers’ market, craft fair. $5 per child for activities and games, pony ride, treat bag, mini-pumpkin; $2 pony only; $3 scarecrow.


Great Pumpkin Fest – West Chester, OH

October 10, 2-6p

FREE!  Featuring children’s not-so-scary haunted trail, pony rides, petting zoo, horse/wagon rides, arts and crafts. Madcap Puppets performance at 2 p.m.


Findlay Market Fall Food Festival

October 11, 10a-4p

This fun-filled festival features food, craft beer, live music, fall crafts, pie baking contest – everything that makes FALL that special time of the year. Activities for the whole family!

October 17, 12-10p

Pumpkin carving contest – $5 entry fee, bring your carved pumpkin by 3 pm

October 24; 12pm – 8pm

Bonnybrook Farms Fall Farm Days – Clarksville, OH

October 3-31, 12-6p, Saturdays and Sundays only


Adventure wagon rides, corn maze, farm animals, ride a pony, Clodhopper golf, giant slingshots, and archery.

Gertz Garden Center – Lockland, OH

September 14 – October 30; 9am – 6pm daily; CLOSED SUNDAY

This new family owned garden center will offer a straw bale maze, a cornbox (sand box but filled with corn), and an area for kids to paint the pumpkins they pick out.

You can also take the opportunity to pick up some Fall Mums!


Blooms and Berries, Fall on the Farm – Loveland, OH



September 19 – October 31; Monday-Saturday 10am – 7pm; Sunday 10am – 6pm

Corn maze, straw maze, cow train rides, animals, pumpkin patch hay rides through I-Spy Woods, playground and a sunflower path (when in bloom) that follows the story of Spookley the Square Pumpkin

Burwinkel Farms – Ross, OH



All October

This small family run farm has upped their Fall game this year and added to their festivities.
Weekend hayrides ($3 includes pumpkin), a corn maze and a punch-card maze ($3). Package deal is $5, children under 2 are FREE>
Plenty of FREE activities as well, including a corn pool, straw tunnel, Halloween scavenger hunt, sensory station, sunflower field with walking path (when in bloom), large selection of pumpkins at great prices, painted pumpkins available for purchase, and FREE parking.




  1. i see Schappacher Farm listed but my understanding is that they closed. Is this just a carryover from a previous list or are they open for business again?

    • You are correct! They still have all of the information on their website, but we just double checked with them and they do not have a patch this year or a farmer’s market. Sad! Thanks for letting us know!
