I grew up in a small town in Southeastern Ohio where my grandfather opened Wilson’s Studio, which my father eventually took over. I attended Ohio University (yes, that’s one of the highest-ranking party schools in the nation) where I studied Commercial Photography. After graduation in 2010 from said ‘party school’, my husband and I moved to Utah. We enjoyed six lovely years there, granting us two little girls and some of my greatest memories to date. More recently, my husband was offered a position in Cincinnati, and we couldn’t pass it up. We knew how much it would mean to the (now) grandparents and our girls. After deciding to make the move back to the Buckeye State, we set up shop in Liberty Township and couldn’t be happier with the place we now call home. Don’t get me wrong, being a full-time mom and entrepreneur isn’t a walk in the park, but it’s one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve had yetI was born in New York and lived in several states before settling down in my favorite city of all time – Cincinnati! I have a biracial family that consists of my amazing and talented husband (Derek) and our beautiful, silly daughter (Adilyn). I work full time, am in school full time for another degree, write and illustrate children’s books, and volunteer on the facilities team at my church. I’ve also started a race relations campaign, “One In Cincy“. I still do my best to be the best mom and wife I can be! I love art museums, the theatre, reading, and Cincinnati parks. I’m a foodie and always love trying new places to eat. I hope other moms find either enlightenment or humor from my posts!OwnerPleasant RidgeI grew up in a very small town in southern Kentucky but have lived in Cincinnati for the last 13 years! Who says you cant have roots and wings? I love my southern roots but Cincinnati has so much to offer right in our backyard! My family currently lives on the west side of the city, which I am told is the “best side”. However, since I am not originally from Cincinnati I feel like I am able to see the beauty that is offered from all sides of the city. Cincinnati offers my children and my family opportunities that “back home” could never offer and for that, I am grateful. In my spare time you will find me doing anything and everything outdoors! I love collecting experiences and not “things” even though I am a sucker for antiques. Lastly, I am so excited to be on the CMB team!I was born in Cincinnati, but grew up in northwest Ohio. After graduating from Miami University, I worked on websites for the Dayton Daily News and Chicago Tribune. Before starting our family, my husband, Nick, and I moved home from Chicago to the west side of Cincinnati where he grew up. We've been here for 17 years now and have two wonderful boys. I'm currently a freelancer, specializing in web design, editing and content creation. Being a freelancer allows me to run my boys to their various sports, music and academic events, while allowing me to stay in the working world. In my spare time, I love to read, go to Pure Barre classes and travel whenever possible!
