Hey local mommas! I grew up in Centerville, but I now live in Wilmington with my husband Tony. Together we have 6 kids, Joe, and his wife Allison, Austin, and his wife Hannah, Sydney and her husband Hayden, Andrew and his wife Lauren and our littles, Max and Eli. Did I mention we are a little nuts starting over with this parenting thing when we are 45+? We are officially adding new titles to our names in 2022- Tiki and Jeep (our version of Grandma and Grandpa). My husband and I are both ministers, and we get to work together in a local church. We were both married before and brought our families together in 2010. After a few years of marriage we felt God's leading for us to adopt. We added Max to our family in 2014 and Eli joined us in 2017, our quiver is officially full! Blending our family has been an adventure! Add some ex-spouses and two birth mommas and we have ourselves a crazy crew! Coffee is my love language. The beach is my happy place and I long to have my toes in the sand.

Plant a Seed

I love it when my seed catalog comes in the mail. Last year I got the catalog, threw it away, and resorted to purchasing Dollar General seeds. Not my best decision. This year will be different....

Smudges {Memories of the Fingerprints}

My house is the cleanest when we have friends over to visit. I don't mean like your own kids and their spouses; they are family, so they get to see the real you and...

The Parent Tattle

I had to make the call. I went round and round in my head about whether I should do it or not and then the "last straw" happened so I made the call. I tattled. Not...

Just Wave {Unspoken School Drop-Off Etiquette}

0
When did we stop waving? School drop-off is part of many of our lives. I figure that asking my kids to behave during the entire school day is enough, so why add the extra time and...

Kicking the Screens to the Curb

0
I could not take it anymore, and so we kicked the screens to the curb. There was arguing, pleading, and begging for more screen time and new games, and the behavior that followed after the...

That Dark Time {Mental Health Help and Awareness}

0
There was a dark time in my life and I needed help. We don't like to talk about dark times, but it doesn't mean we don't experience them. I felt like my head was in a...

Soccer Team Love

Soccer season is taking up four nights a week for our family. Two boys playing soccer on two different teams equals four nights a week of practice. We decided last minute to sign our boys...
