I love date nights with my husband. They are rare and so special, however, I sometimes feel that my husband gets bored from time to time. When we get a night away from the kids, I rarely know what to do with it so I default to what I am used to – dinner and a movie. I have been trying to change things up a bit to make them more exciting and man-friendly.
Here are a few ideas that I have come up with that might make date nights a little more exciting for your man and just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Breweries – The environment is so exciting and fun. Most of them have games and moody lights. Some even allow you to bring your pets! Craft beer and fun with your man can never go wrong!
Axe Throwing – This is not something that I have personally done; however, it is on my to-do list! There is nothing more manly than a man and an axe.
Shooting Range – This is another activity that a lot of men enjoy that could make for a fun date night. I do not know much about guns but having my husband show me how to shoot is fun and exciting.
Indoor Sky Diving – Talk about excitement! This is thrilling and will get your adrenaline pumping! This will be a date night that you will remember forever.
Comedy Club – My husband and I are very big on stand-up comedy. There is no better date than one that involves constant laughter with the one you love.
Driving Range – This is so much fun and does give you a bit of a rush when you’re doing well! Plus, if you’re in need of improvement, there is nothing sweeter than cozening up in his arms while he shows you how to swing!
Bourbon Trail – Drink sampling and touring distilleries is something that every man would enjoy.
Take a Cooking Class – Learn how to make something that you both will love. Every time you make that meal, you can remember fondly the special time you two spent together while learning how to make it.
Kayaking – When it warms up, spend some time on the water and in the sun with your man.
Roller Coasters – So many times we have taken our kids to Kings Island to ride roller coasters in the kid section of the park. My husband and I spent a whole day there just the two of us and had a blast! For the first time in years, we were able to ride the big coasters and venture away from the helicopter ride.
GameWorks or Dave & Busters – Have fun competing and playing games together at one of these exciting places! Feel like a kid again and win a teddy bear from the claw machine as a keepsake to remember your special night together.
Next time you have a date night coming up with your man, maybe try something new! Steer away from dinner and a movie and really spice things up a bit. You might really surprise and impress your husband with your adventurous ideas!
