This year’s guide features some activities that can be done at home or with social distancing in mind. Any events listed are updated as accurately as possible as of the publishing date.

An adventure for the whole family to explore the world of dinosaurs in an exciting, educational, and fun way. The event features more than 80 ultra-realistic, life-size animatronic dinosaurs with which visitors can interact. This event was rescheduled from March 2020 to July 2020. Red, White & KaBOOM celebrates Independence Day in Fairfield with an amazing fireworks display from Rozzi Famous Fireworks! Due to current orders regarding large gatherings, they will only be holding the fireworks show. Rozzi is working on a special show that will be higher and easier to view throughout the City. All other Parks and Recreation-organized concerts and activities have been canceled, and the parks will close at dusk.

Explore the history of downtown Cincinnati’s oldest surviving wooden residence still in its original location. The Baum-Longworth-Sinton-Taft house turns 200 this year! Constructed around 1820 by entrepreneur Martin Baum, the National Historic Landmark became a public museum in 1932 to house the exceptional art collection of its final residents, Charles Phelps Taft and Anna Sinton Taft.

Goetta, a German dish pronounced “get-uh”, is often compared to breakfast sausage or scrapple and is a mixture of pork, beef, steel-cut (pinhead) oats, and seasonings. Glier’s Goettafest is a celebration of the local favorite held along Newport’s riverfront just down the steps from the Newport Aquarium and Newport on the Levee. In addition to eating goetta in variety of dishes, festival goers can enjoy live music and cloggers, plus goetta games like Goetta Slide and Goetta Ring Toss.
