Okay Moms. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m lazy. However, I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I had to change my diet into low carb, high protein plan. I was overwhelmed at first. I got a list of do’s and don’ts from my fertility doctor.
There’s nothing fun on here. At ALL. HERE is a list of low carb, high protein things for your diet, and it’s nearly identical to the list I got.
I’m a busy mom. I have a 5-year-old little girl AND I’ve been babysitting a gorgeous 5-month-old baby girl. All while juggling a part-time gig. I HAD to come up with a plan to tackle this beast. Because I like to eat. I like good, hearty food. But, I want another baby MORE.
So, I gathered some ingredients: Chicken Breasts, green beans, corn, brown rice. I also bought some containers to sort all the yummy in. I was lazy and got all the steamable bags! Because why work hard for the same food?
I got to work. I used a spicy seasoning to coat the chicken in and baked the breasts on 400 degrees for 23 min and they turned out perfect. While that was going, I steamed up my rice and my veggies. As they finished, I portioned them out into the containers.
Now, I’m not saying that you have to follow this exact plan. I know that this wasn’t the most perfectly planned meal. However, it is better than a Cheeseburger and fries. It’s a step in the right direction. Make your own variation; get creative!
Lifestyle change is never easy. As the new year starts, I have many goals. I would love to tackle this battle of infertility head-on. It’s a LION. I have hope that I will have a child again. I MUST move if I want to see some change in my life.
I cannot just LET things happen to me. I can enact change where I can and leave the rest up to God. For now, meal prepping this way works for me. I will be looking up different ways to tame this beast.
What’s your favorite healthy lazy meal? Leave me some comments moms!
