Jenna

“I grew up in Dayton, OH and moved to Cincinnati in 2004 to attend the University of Cincinnati. Upon graduation, I married my husband Andy and have been married 6 years this year. We lived on the west side of Cincinnati (Delhi to be exact) for 2 years before we had children. When I was 8 months pregnant with our first, we sold our house and moved to West Chester to be closer to family. Andy and I have two children, our son Liam (3) and our daughter Payten (2). We also have a Bernese Mountain dog named Barkley who will be five this year. I am a certified public accountant. Two years ago I gave up working for a large public accounting firm where I was working 80+ hours January through. I currently work in accounting at a local dental insurance company. My true passions however, include motherhood, being a wife and all things DIY and photography. You will always find my husband and me tiling or painting something, whether it’s our house or someone else’s. I also write a personal blog called Jenna Marie where I document all things life.”

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

Go on a family hike or bike ride, or maybe a kayak trip. I enjoy being outside, especially with my kids watching them explore.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be and why?

Pink. I always seem to add little pops of pink into my wardrobe and home decor.

What song would you sing at karaoke night?

This makes my hands sweat just thinking about it. I do not sing let alone in front of people, but if I had to pick a song, it would be something from the Biebs or T. Swift.

Who would you call for bail money?

My husband.

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

Warning: can be a pushover

If you had to eat at one Cincinnati restaurant for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Graeters…does that count? I love ice cream.

What is your favorite place to take the kids in Cincinnati?

We often visit Sharon Woods since its right down the road from us and can offer all sorts of fun from hiking to playgrounds to splash pad. We also frequent the Loveland bike path and our local pool. The kids also love Entertrainment Junction.

What is your favorite thing about being a mom?

Watching them become little humans. I love watching them discover something new, whether it’s their toes or belly button or discovering gravity when they throw a rock and a feather at the same time. Children also give their mothers a love that is so amazing and so pure and really unexplainable but gives me all the feels. I also love their snuggles and kisses and baby rolls.

What is your least favorite thing about being a mom?

Worry and fear. From the physical fears – my children’s dare-devil tendencies to disappearing in the grocery store – to their character traits and relationships they are developing. Parenthood is full of worry and fear.

Welcome Jenna!
