Neltner’s Farm Fall Festival

Neltner’s Farm Fall Fest is back again! This family run farm offers a whole day of fall fun including horse-drawn wagon rides, pick your own pumpkin, a barrel train, model train display, a petting zoo, and pony rides. This year in addition to their 3 acre corn maze, Neltner’s will also offer a smaller Toddler Corn Maze! After exploring the farm make sure to stay for the live music, homemade food and sweets, the farm shop, and local crafters. Admission is $5 ages 3 and older (weekdays admission is free!), pony rides and Barrel train rides are $3 each.

The Hueston Woods Apple Butter Festival provides a vignette of 19th century farm life and features continual creation of apple butter in the pioneer fashion throughout the event. A great family activity conveniently located for Butler & Preble County residents. Tours are conducted through the Doty homestead and the barn, both of mid 1980’s vintage and exhibiting a broad display of museum artifacts. Each year demonstrations of pioneer crafts are featured along with a theme program.

BLINK® | Illuminated by ArtsWave is a four-day light and art event that premiered in 2017 and returns October 10-13, 2019. BLINK® will span from Findlay Market in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood through downtown Cincinnati and into Covington, Kentucky – bridging two states, and spanning 30 city blocks and the Ohio River. The only U.S. event of its kind, BLINK® will feature large-scale projection mapping, murals by international artists, interactive light sculptures and diverse entertainment. BLINK parade participants and light-based installation artists.
BLINK® 2019 will feature 39 projection mappings created by 36 organizations or artist groups and curated by BLINK® partner, Brave Berlin of Cincinnati. The artists come to BLINK® from six countries and seven U.S. cities, including 21 from Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Sixteen new murals will be created for BLINK® in 2019, curated by BLINK® partner, The AGAR, of Cincinnati. The muralists represent eight countries and six U.S. cities, including Xylene of Cincinnati.
The BLINK® Future City Spectacular Parade, presented by Skyline Chili and curated by ArtWorks, will kick-off the BLINK art, light and culture event, Thursday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. The parade will move south on Vine Street in Downtown Cincinnati from Eighth Street to Rosa Parks Street and West Freedom Way at The Banks.

Destination Moon gives guests the rare opportunity to see artifacts that made the 953,000-mile journey possible, like Buzz Aldrin’s gold-plated extravehicular helmet visor and thermal-insulated gloves. The dizzying star chart that helped Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins navigate the historic journey and the rucksack and survival kit that accompanied the astronauts are also included.
