More than Just Coworking… It’s a Place to Gather

This post is part of a sponsored relationship with Gather Cincy. Our team loved our afternoon spent working there and highly recommend the space for your co-working and small event needs.

Who else is in love with Cincinnati architecture?

Maybe I am alone here (although I doubt it), but I love old buildings. I love the lighting through the tall windows, the cozy nooks and crannies, and even the quiet, reassuring noises that old houses make… like they are telling you a story.

Recently, I got to spend a wonderful day, brainstorming and team building with the executive team of Cincinnati and Dayton Moms Blog in one of those old Cincinnati houses. I am sure I don’t have to sell any of you lovers of older homes how much better it was working in a beautiful space instead of a bland conference room.

Gather Cincy is a coworking space and a partnership between a local mother-daughter team who had the vision to take an older East Walnut Hills home and turn it into a place designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and community. Upon first glance, you see a quiet street and a home with character and charm, but inside you will find a co-working environment with endless flexibility and childcare. Yes, that’s right… I said childcare.
Imagine a place where work and childcare, networking and nurturing, all happen under one roof.
As moms ourselves, we know that one of the hardest things to balance is our time. Time to dedicate to our work and passions AND time to be present and responsive to our children. The Montessori style Infant/Toddler room (3 months – 2.5 years old) and preschool age room (2.5 – 5 years old) will take care of that, providing an on-site space that will care for and nurture your little ones while you are just a floor away getting your own work done. The idea of finishing an email or a thought without having sticky fingers messing with our keyboard sounds heavenly, doesn’t it?

And just think about how amazing it would be for those of you still breastfeeding to be able to still take a break to go nurse and help get your little one down for their nap and then return to the work that helps fill YOUR bucket or pay your bills.
Gather Cincy seeks to bridge the gap between working, raising a child, and still having community with others in the same stage of life, who can benefit from each other’s gifts, talents, and businesses.
Because of this, they strive to be more than “just” a co-working space. They truly hope to support their members and create a platform on which they can be successful in whatever dreams or drives they have. In addition to the basics such as access to high-speed wi-fi and coffee (yes!), members are also able to take advantage of:

 • Networking & Social Events
 • Professional Development Workshops
 • Social Media Promotion (To help support you as you advance your own business initiatives!)
 • Discount on Event Rental Space
 • Access to a Private Facebook Group (To make connections, ask questions, & get support!)

So, you see mamas, the house on Ashland Avenue is a sweet example of older Cincinnati architecture, but it’s so much more. If you are looking for the perfect place to find community and a way to balance your passion with parenthood, check out the options for coworking + childcare at Gather Cincy and know we are here cheering you on, mama!
