Make a Fall Centerpiece

0

Looking for a way to add some seasonal decorations to your home? Think about making a centerpiece for your table. I made this beautiful fall centerpiece with just a few items from a craft store, but be creative -you can use anything you want!

Supplies you will need

Large, long basket or wooden holder (I got mine custom made at Pinecone Home!)
Styrofoam
Exacto knife
Craft glue
Pen or maker
Fake leaves
Candleholders
Battery-operated taper candles
Bag of acorns, pinecones or other small fall items
Larger items for the centerpiece (I used pumpkins!)

  1. Start by cutting your styrofoam down to size to fit inside of your basket or bin. Use an exact knife to cut it to fit inside. I added little feet on the bottom of my pieces so I didn’t have to use as much styrofoam and also so my candle holders would fit. Glue the smaller pieces to the bigger pieces with craft glue. Make sure it fits before moving onto the next steps.
  2. Next, measure the top of your candle holder and draw lines around it with a pen or marker. Cut this part out all the way through the styrofoam.
  3. Put the candleholder in the styrofoam so that the top of it comes out the top of the styrofoam.
  4. Using craft glue, take your fake leaves and place them around your styrofoam pieces so that they cover up the styrofoam. Make sure all of the styrofoam is covered.
  5. Place the decorated styrofoam pieces with the candle holders and candles back into your basket or bin.
  6. Take the larger items and place them on top of the basket or bin.
  7. Finally, take the bag of acorns, pinecones or other small items you have chosen and place them around the top of the basket or bin.
  8. Enjoy your beautiful decoration!

We change our centerpiece out seasonally. It adds the perfect touch to our dining room table!
