It’s time to start planning all of that endless summer fun and our 2020 camp guide is full of some of our favorites!
Cincinnati Ballet's Kids Dance Camp
June 1st - 5th; June 8th - 12th; July 27th - 31st
Cincinnati Ballet’s Kids Dance Camp is a creative exploration of dance, music and art through beloved stories for students ages 4 – 8. Each week-long experience explores an overall theme through age-appropriate ballet classes and activities led by professional faculty. Students in each camp are divided into groups based on age.
During summer 2020, Kids Dance Camp celebrates the Summer of Dreams as we venture over the rainbow and under the sea to explore favorite story ballets including The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella and The Little Mermaid.
Through the integration of dance, visual art, story, choreography and music, young dancers embark on a multi-sensory tour of their week’s designated theme while delving into their own creativity. Introduction to ballet and creative movement allows students to build movement vocabulary, coordination, and strength while working toward a culminating performance for parents and loved ones. Daily crafts take students beyond the studio to create costume pieces, dance props, and other accessories that inspire artistic expression and imagination.
For campers ages 4-8 years old.
