Faith is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.
Thanks to Merriam Webster we can expand on the meaning of faith:

- something that is believed especially with strong conviction especially; a system of religious beliefs
Now before you think I am going to break out in a 3-point sermon or drag you to church, hear me out.
I have been in ministry for the past 30 years and have been an advocate for families to share their faith and what they believe with their children for decades.
What you believe and what you do about that belief are amazing gifts you need to share with your child.
Think about it for a moment. We teach our children in every other aspect of life, so why not teach them about YOUR faith, and why you believe what you believe?
This is an important exercise to take a look at what you were taught and form your core beliefs in faith (if you haven’t already done so). Decide what you believe in and how faith is part of your life and how you make decisions.
This has been an important part of my life as a mother and a minister to children.
I help parents make faith a part of their everyday life and teach them how to teach their children. The what and why are so important so that your child can understand why your family does the things that they do.
Eventually, your children will recognize and accept their own faith. It is an exciting time when they learn what you have taught them and decide what they believe. They take that foundation and form their own beliefs and convictions and decide how they want to live their life.
But it all starts with you. You gotta have faith.
